value playing time as much as money. So, they won't be paid to be two deep at Alabama if they can play elsewhere immediately. We are already seeing this in college basketball in a big way. As soon as a player finds out that his team has brought someone in to potentially start in front of him, he transfers out. An NFL contract is still the prize. Players want to prove themselves. Football is not as bad as basketball because CF players have to stay three years so the urgency is not as great as in college basketball. But I expect the NFL's 3 year rule to be successfully challenged soon.
