Before, Mizzou at least had a chance to assemble teams like it had in 2007 and 2013.
Now, those rosters could never happen (at MU) because too many players would transfer out to the highest bidder.
The "contract" solution isn't viable. For example, a 3-star high school recruit (i.e., student) signs a 3-year contract with Mizzou, then realizes he hates it here after 1 season.
But, he turns out to be super productive and plays at a 5-star level, so Mizzou wants to keep him on the team.
How would that play out? Would the student be forced to remain at Mizzou for another 2 years (i.e., as the case would be for a player under contract in the NFL)?
