The only reason your KC Chiefs are able to win, is that the NFL protects them from richer markets with salary caps and free agency restrictions. Without those safeguards, KC would be in Mizzou's situation in the SEC.

It is perfectly analogous.

If CFB enacted safeguards like the NFL, then Mizzou would be able to compete like your KC Chiefs — without richer schools/markets poaching their top players every off-season.
