COLUMBIA | In the previous two games against Illinois, suspended Missouri tailback Derrick Washington ran 33 times and gained 191 yards, scoring two touchdowns. Missouri’s top four remaining running backs have run 12 times for 19 yards with no touchdowns against Illinois heading into Saturday’s swan song to the Arch Rivalry game in St. Louis. In last season’s 37-9 Mizzou victory, De’Vion Moore netted 21 yards in eight carries and Kendial Lawrence lost two yards in four carries. Freshmen Henry Josey and Marcus Murphy have never played in a college game.

Mizzou track and field head coach Brett Halter has announced that Teri Cantwell will complete his coaching staff as an assistant coach for the program, specializing in the throws and horizontal and vertical jumps. Cantwell, formerly Teri Steer, is an accomplished shot putter and was an Olympian in 2000 and a two-time NCAA National Champion in the event. Cantwell is also married to former Tiger Christian Cantwell, who is currently dominating the shot put as a post collegian.
