Gabbert to maintain a high level of interest at the mid tier programs. Once that’s gone the whole thing will collapse. I have been a season ticket holder for 25 years and if they go down this road I certainly will get off the bandwagon completely. My interest in the sport has already waned as they’ve gone down the playoff road- which is another thing that’s designed only for the elites with the goal of turning the whole thing into a miniature NFL .

many do not understand. One of the reasons for the bowl system was to avoid just where they’re going now. Millions and millions of TV dollars from a playoff system and the pressure grows to pay athletes like NFL professionals because they no longer get six weeks off and just have to play one final game around NYD. A number of them will be involved in a long drawn out playoff similar to the NFL only perhaps longer
