then it would be a moral issue, but it's their choice to play.

The NCAA wants college sports to consist of amateur student-athletes, for integrity and competitive balance. If athletes with pro potential don't like that, then they're free to do something else. No one's forcing them to participate in NCAA sports. Someone else will gladly take their spot on the team for a full-ride scholarship and all the other benefits that student-athletes currently receive.
