If it comes about College sports as a cash cow is dead. The games are already dying because of the abondance of other entertainment options for the masses.
Then you pile on top the elitist Blue Blood advantage that certain schools maintain and leads to a unequal playing field well the Average fan starts to check out.
Gen Z and Millennial fans get on their Phone's,Xbox's,Playstations etc. and tune out in droves today. Sure the hardcore Blue bloods and their fans will remain strong but the mid-tier fans diminish and will fade away quickly once it's obvious their teams have Zero chance to compete...so you are left with 15 to maybe 20 programs with any Big 2 interest and that is a nitch sport that will die.
The Powers that be clearly don't get that a competitive Balance is needed or the large fan base of today will erode away. Everyone likes a winner more so today than ever.
