regardless of what you may think, relatively few schools engage in pay-for-play schemes due to the risk of NCAA sanctions, or even criminal prosecution (as we saw recently with the FBI crackdown).

However, if pay-for-play were effectively allowed through "endorsement deals", then the schools with the richest boosters, biggest fan bases, and largest media markets would have an even greater recruiting advantage over schools like Mizzou.

It would ruin college sports for the vast majority of fans.
