If we go that route then Again Treat the players like Minor League baseball players pay them couple a grand a month but charge them for everything....weight room time,food,room, tuition,basic equipment,insurance,Locker room dues. And Make them pay back other expenses if they make it to the NFL.

NCAA regulate the education of the athletes and NO special tutors or education centers etc. Just show up get your books/computer/tablet and go to class.

Or treat them Like Uber,Lyft, Door Dash treat their non-employee's aka contract labor.

I mean really they are just on campus for our entertainment enjoyment. So let's treat them thus.
