They are for the most part an influencer to the democratic party and likewise, most unions have been. There are a lot of Union members that do not vote Democrat. However, there would be a huge disruption in education if there wasn't a Union. Teachers would be terminated everyday around the nation if it wasn't for Unions. My experience is that they always want to fire the best ones.
