Obviously a matter of opinion, but I completely disagree. School distracits are a great example. Who negotiates the contract with the school district? Each teacher negotiates a separate contract? Teachers just take what they are given from the school board? Neither works. I was a former teacher whose job was saved by the NEA (union) from an unfair action, so I know from personal experience that they have merit. But unions have brought us much that we take for granted. Still necessary. In practice, many have been corrupted, but that happens in business, govt, all over the place, not just to unions. They still have an important function, unless of course you are the business owner who wants to pay lower wages, reduce benefits, etc.
