You really don't understand communism. As a former teacher, I would be fine with pay for performance. I generally promote rewarding people for their performance. I just havent seen a pay-for-performance proposal that works for education. It would be great if it can be figured out. No class is the same, no teacher is the same. When I taught, I was in a public school but certified by Special Ed, so my classes tended to have the lower performing students. Early on, got a lot of grief for the low grades in my classes. SHould I ahve given higher grades so I could show my students were performing better? If you use standardized tests, should I have been paid less if my students scored lower, given that I was given the lowere performers to begin with? Its a great idea, but very difficult to do in rpactice. ANd no, teacher unions are not responsible for the decline in education. You can be that stupid I guess.
