I see your point. That is no reason to do away with it. just downsize and develop a more specific outcome that you want to achieve through the department. We will always need a department to monitor special education and where the funding should go and how do you want to direct it. Funding or lack there of by the fed has left a lot of special needs kids underdeveloped and this creates a larger dependent society which could have been employable workers.
