They had to overpay and include some incentives to get a coach that had accomplished anything to come here due to the state the program was in.

We knew that at the time. He met the standards of his contract so earned a 1 year extension, plus the buyout got pushed out another year due to meeting the standard set in the contract.

Now he has 2 years to earn an extension. I think if he makes the tournament one of the next 2 seasons that he will get that extension. If he earns that extension the next contract should have higher standards included because the program is in a better spot.
