Won the DII national title with a perfect 34-0 season and was named DII National Coach of the Year. Went 63-2 over a two year span, making him the winningest coach in all levels of college during that stretch including a 49 game winning streak which is the 4th longest in college basketball history.

While an assistant at MU he was a part of two conference championships and only once in 5 seasons during his tenure did MU finish below 2nd in the Big 8. Was named the Mo Valley COY while at Drake and also while head coach at SEMO won Ohio Valley regular and post season tourney, taking SEMO to NCAA tourney.

Might have done good things at MU. But that would have been a really risky hire.
