if you consume a lot of carbs and processed sugars, you're not going to lose weight.
I've cut down on my running significantly because I'm getting as much out of 10-15 miles per week over a few faster/short runs as I was at 20-25 miles a week over 3 longer runs at a moderate pace. Plus I just feel less worn down in general.
