Personally, I don't want Mizzou and SLU to play each other, because I root for both teams. Taking the parochial nature out of the argument, Why would Mizzou ever play a game at DePaul? Doesn't DePaul have everything to gain and Mizzou everything to lose in such a matchup? Or does it count only with in-state "rivalries"? What about Xavier? SLU has the potential to be like Xavier, provided they hire and keep the right coach.
I get it, though. You want to be able to keep selling wolf tickets about how superior Mizzou is without playing the games, because you know playing the games on any semblance of equal footing would prove otherwise.
