There's a real good chance coach Pingeton played a role. She told AD Sterk the Porter family wanted to return to Columbia. This was according to something I've read.
I think coach P was just informing her boss of the possibility.
It's possible that Michael Porter didn't sign a letter of intent so he could leave Washington without to much difficulty.
Coach Romar is now an assistant at Arizona. I think they all landed successfully and probably happy. Coach Romar was having a bad run of years and more than likely knew his time was up at Udub.
Just my guess.
