1. Cuonzo is contacted by Sterk and Sterk mentions to Cuonzo or Cuonzo asks Sterk about the possible Porter interest level.
2. Cuonzo calls Porter and gauges his interest level.
3. Porter looks at the facts and what's best for his family and realizes that Washington ended up in last place even with a top draft pick and he knows that when that occurs next year, he will be fired without his #1 son to get him another P5 job and he let's Cuonzo know he'd be interested.
4. Cuonzo accepts the Mizzou job and tells Sterk about the Porter situation.
5. Word gets back to Washington that Porter is going to leave
6. Washington fires Romar because Porter is going to leave.


This isn't really as far-fetched of a scenario that phrejd makes it seem.
