which was precisely why a majority of the schools wanted to get away from it. The computer models were just plain wrong more often than they were right.
Just for starters. In its very first year. 1 loss KSU gets picked over for a 4th ranked and an 8th ranked team.
2 years later FSU plays in the NGC despite losing to Miami who themselves had lost only one game.
And the 03 season, and
Well shyt, pretty much every year of the BCS was some team getting screwed by the all knowing god like computers.
And in an ironic twist of fate that is the ONLY supporting point you could have had suggesting that computers should pick playoff teams, our own Missouri Tigers fell victim to human subjectivity by being picked over by the beakers despite being two spots higher while having twice as many losses.
