divisions within the major conferences? You don't think that is why the NFL did it that way? The interest stays in that league all the way up until you are MATHEMATICALLY eliminated. It would be the same in the major conferences. You would not be eliminated by an "eye test" or one blowout game. And to say the CFP is "fine" when this format has NEVER been tried is kind of putting the cart before the horse.
