One thing that has happened as the SEC and all conferences expanded, but especially to the SEC, is that the elite talent pool the pre-alignment SEC pulled from is getting spread to more and more teams as conferences expand. I'm not surprised to see more parity and fewer dominant teams. It's not like Bama and Georgia are getting all the talent now. A&M and Mizzou and now Texas and eventually OU will have diluted the SEC talent pool - that elite talent is getting spread over more teams. NIL and a wide open transfer portal are now there to exacerbate the issue even more. There's a reason Saban quit when he was ahead.
