also making very few late game challenges.
Only with Georgia, SCAR (home and away) did we really keep it close to the end going to OT with SCAR. We were down by 1 to Georgia with 4:19 to go but Georgia increased the margin to 7 quickly which was where it stayed. In the last SCAR game, we got to within 5 at 2:28 and SCAR pulled away.
Teams aren't having a difficult time keeping Mizzou at arms length down the stretch. We only really challenged late in the second half against SCAR (OT) and Georgia. And the fact that it happens repeatedly over the course of the last 10 games would suggest something other than luck. The defense is good enough to keep it relatively close (hence not getting blown out) but the offense has not been good enough to close the gap and as stated, defenses figure out East and Barnes.
