Harder to have consistent bad luck in basketball

You just flip the coin too many times.

Persistent losing in basketball cannot be attributed to luck because they play so many games. We follow a fairly predictable routine: Start strong, then get behind, come back before half time and then slowly dig a hole in the second half that makes late comebacks less likely.

Frankly, I think that is because opposing defenses adjust to Bates and East and make the rest of the team beat them which hasn't happened yet in SEC play.
