When I pointed out that people have indeed been clamoring for red flag laws to apply to people with mental health issues, on legal/prescription drugs, etc., you didn't dispute that, nor claim that it would be unconstitutional, but seemed to be on board with such laws:
As for your second point, it would depend on the "mental issues". Someone who is successfully treated for depression should not be prevented, and constitutionally could not be. Someone who is a raging untreated schizophrenic who thinks that all white people are trying to kill him, another story.
