mental health issues. This would be the proverbial camel's nose under the tent for dictatorial regimes to take away citizen's rights. We've already seen how corrupt our current system is and how fascistic our leaders and bureaucrats can be from the Covid crisis.

Don't think that your own beliefs as to how things should play out, flawed as they are, are the outer limits of what the government would do when they deem the time is right. You act like some things would clearly be beyond the constitutional limits, but you aren't the final arbiter there and we have seen the courts come out with some very crazy decisions.

As to the BB gun incident. If such a violation would prohibit kids from legally purchasing guns 1/2 of our neighborhood would have been prevented from getting guns... the male half. We used to have bb gun wars and had teams, much like paintball participants have now.
