That would not be my first choice. But a DC area judge would already have put him in jail for violating DC's restrictive gun laws. My hypothetical said it occurred in a state where open carry was allowed. Better judges in those states.

I realize you don't like the idea, but ultimately lots of tough questions have to be decided by judges and juries. No guarantees of perfect outcomes. Just got to do the best we can.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
