and yes, I realize that it's a lot more dense, so maybe that's the key, but there are other big cities that didn't have the same type of problems. Then you have the meat-packing plants which are a limited universe but have a big infection rate. And NY doesn't even seem to be the first, so it's not like you can attribute others' "success" to their forewarning.....
