make responsible choices.

I'm not advocating for orgies, but instilling a belief that sexual urges is "sin" doesn't help them develop healthy sexual relationships. It means they don't have sex because they fear the shame of parents and church members instead of deciding it's more peaceful for them to not/wait.

Young adults aren't wild horny people who can't control their urges. They're largely inexperienced and uninformed and fearful.

I was a devout evangelical for most of my life until I realized religion has next to nothing to do with spirituality or Christ's love. Evangelical Christianity today is far from loving.
