Like breaking a union, they basically kick everybody out, rewrite the rules (make it like it used to be way back when), and make a NLI more like a contract that states you agree to adhere to a scholarship plus costs of attendance and nothing else.
Start over.

It would be quite easy to actually do. The hard part would be getting 2 P5 conferences (see SEC & BIG) to all agree to it. If they agree, implementation isn’t that hard.
