In a free market system, those players who oppose amateur status would have to find another place to play.

But instead, the government is FORCING the organizations to accept workers/volunteers they don't want.

It's antithetical to free market ideals in which organizations are allowed to choose their employees and volunteers, and those individuals who don't meet their criteria have to find work elsewhere.

The NCAA and its members have made it clear they want AMATEURS, not professionals. Anyone who wants to go pro should do exactly that.
