which has nothing to do with NIL. It's an excuse to vote *against* the bill, because Stanford (and Cal/USC/UCLA) had the foresight to know what would happen if it passed.

Today's NCAA announcement WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED without that CA bill passing. That's why the Cali schools did everything in their power to block it. Anyone who actually *supported* NIL was all for it because they knew it would get the ball rolling and force the NCAA's hand.

And now that NIL is definitely happening, those who opposed it are forced to embrace it. They have no choice.
