and you're grossly misinterpreting & mischaracterizing one of Stanford's statements that had absolutely nothing to do with NIL.

Actually, that's the exact OPPOSITE of what he said. He clearly stated his opposition to NIL — not just the bill, but NIL in general:

"Allowing student-athletes to receive compensation from their name, image, and likeness, would present serious challenges for higher education institutions and to the collegiate sports model."
