SB 206 had just passed California senate floor by a vote of 31 - 5. The reason that Muir said Stanford and other California schools opposed it was they wanted to have a rule from the NCAA that would allow all NCAA athletes to be able to make money.

So again, they didn't oppose athletes earning money and NIL laws they only opposed SB 206 at the time because it didn't include all of the NCAA.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
