of college athletics. I do not attribute it to an overly liberal society though. I'm a fairly liberal minded person that was more than OK with the present system of rewarding athletes with an education for their participation in athletic programs.

I think sports media has been the catalyst for both revamping the playoff system and paying athletes. Not sure what the motivation is but they have been clamoring for paying college athletes for a couple of decades. Perhaps the infusion of so many ex-athletes into sports media who see the amount of money available and feel cheated for not being compensated for their part in creating the wealth.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
