He could be a bad coach it depends on your definition of a good coach.

If winning titles is the definition he is a good coach.
If Recruiting $$$ well is your definition of being good Check as well. But if Developing talent, teaching the game, and how to play it and running a clean program is your Definition then he very well could be a bad coach.

Basketball with the shot clock is so Talent dependent for success it's very possible to be a bad coach who has Great success based purely on getting talent and motivating them to play hard.
