The Porters wanted to come to Mizzou but not under Kim, I think that was common knowledge. It is also why Kim was run out so quickly.

Almost any coach coming to Mizzou at that time would have had the same roster as CM that first year. That is why I refer to it as a gift, he did not have to recruit any of those players. Once MP signed on the rest just fell into place. Everyone wanted to play with the Porters.
