I try to be objective to combat all this revisionist history which may appear as a Zo apologist, Tilmon committed in May almost two months after CM was hired, so did Harris. Zo had to STILL recruit them and re-recruit Roberts and his dad, also had to meet with Bernardo(Harris dad), and had to woo Tilmon who was really still on the fence, stop making it seem like this was all a done deal, far from it. All MPJ did was make the players AND their parents listen to his pitch. Kids ALWAYS want to play with their friends in college, you know why package deals arent as common as you think, its because at that level, everyone’s best interest is NOT the same, especially if you have involved knowledgeable parents/influencers. The biggest misconception is he was gifted that class, if it was only so easy with no prior relationship.
