and that might be ok. He is but a stepping stone to make MU respectable and relevant. Then the next hire can move us forward. The worry of course, is that he is just good enough to earn an extension.

The only part of your post I take issue with is couching his recruitment (and ultimate success) of transfers as good fortune versus skill and a keen eye of talent. Specifically those players that succeeded at a lower level and can repeat that at a higher level. He has enough of a track record to call it a skill/talent.

Which is why the crop of transfers he is bringing in will be interesting to watch.
