All tickets should start the season up for grabs and go to the highest bidder.
Those who want the same seats year to year can match the highest bid and retain.
Right now StubHub and other sites take profit because the athletic programs don't know how to run a business.
Instead of sending season ticket holders actual physical tickets, rights to seats and parking passes should be retained in a StubHub like system.
Ticket holders should be able to release tickets they won't be using into the system for sale (this includes parking passes) for a fee.
This way everyone wins. The athletic department gets all the money. Ticketholders can easily use or sell their season tickets as need demands.
StubHub gets paid a fee for a service instead of taking massive profits from an artificially created market.
