has really struggled with PG's historically.

Keady, Painter and Martin have been able to consistently produce winners without PG's but the teams are always better when they have one around.

Martin to my knowledge did not recruited many JUCO players in his time at Cal (probably wouldn't be allowed) but he got Kevin Punter interested in Tennessee (before leaving). While Martin was at Purdue he was involved in the JUCO recruitment of Willie Deane (at the end of the Keady era) and Carl Landry (who helped revive the Purdue program).
