Fast straight forward is maybe a possibility if he works with a runningsprint coach, but laterally he won't be a bit quicker.

Freshmen suck at defense. That isn't a secret. They suck at team defense even more, because they haven't mastered individual skills. A Christmas miracle might happen. I doubt it.
