Lots of "what ifs" could help us be better...
Tilmon learns to stay out of foul trouble. Averages 12 pts, 8 boards a game.
Geist becomes less of a liability at PG and improves his strength and speed through a hard-working off-season.
Pinson is a better-than-his-ranking kind of recruit who gives us valuable minutes at PG to keep Geist fresh for when it counts, and limits turnovers, even with modest numbers overall.
2 of these three: Watson/Pickett/Santos end up putting up some big numbers as wing scorers.
Mitchell Smith ends up living up to the goal most have of him - provide some help on the interior with rebounding, and can contribute offensively from time to time.
The team is even better than last year on defense (when we were much improved). We stay in games when our offense struggles because we get stops on the defensive end.
The last one of these is the most likely reason we are better if we are. Not predicting it, but it is possible if our staff does a great job.
