1. Freshman phenom Parker Conrad is battling some tendinitis in her elbow, affecting the velocity she threw on Friday. She can throw much harder than that.
2. Gillis went with D'Amour to Kennesaw State, will be his full time assistant coach and pitching coach.
3. On replacing Pete, the person has been selected, just finishing up the paperwork before the persons name is announced. Careful not to say man or woman, but sounds like one person. Not sure if that means there will eventually be two people brought in or one, just referring to D'Amours replacement.
4. On Braxton Burnside replacing Sami Fagan at SS, high praise for Burnside. Big time pop in her bat (despite her timing being off on Friday night), throws 70mph overhand and has a cannon for an arm, good feet, good reads, good instincts, will be one of the better shortstops to ever play at Missouri.
5. On other freshmen besides Conrad and Burnside, cites Cayla Kessinger, major pop in her bat, needs to work on some mechanics with her swing but has light tower type power. Says the other freshmen have some ability, but Conrad, Burnside, and Kessinger are the "most ready, right now, to compete in the SEC."
6. Lots on Mack and the investigation, although in response to being asked if he thought he had been treated fairly, paused and said "I probably shouldn't answer that." Stunning statement on when he thought he was about to lose his job. Says Rhoades, in mid-March, called EE into a meeting, and flat out said EE "should start looking for another job." Mid-March. To refresh people's memories, it was April 3, right after a big series win at home against Tennessee, that the players and staff were first told that there was a 'program review' and that they had to report for taped 'interviews' in a day or two. If EEs account is true, then Mack Rhoades is a GD slimeball bald faced liar for his repeated statements that the review was a fair and proper fact finding mission with no agenda. A 'search for the truth', lol. But the interviews, which players called interrogations, happened several weeks after he told EE to look for another job. Maybe EE has his timeline wrong, I don't know. But if that's how it went down it indicates the players descriptions of their interviews have the ring of truth to them. The harassment, the bullying, the interest only in getting dirt on EE. Mack decided to fire EE in March and then went looking for 'evidence' to support his decision. If true, how do the 3 AD staff people who conducted those interviews still have jobs?
