thousands of dollars when it all added up.

The juice is no longer worth the squeeze when it keeps going up. I don't fault any college or pro team for setting whatever price they like, because they should, but there are folks who fall by the wayside, like me and the 3 others who had tickets from the 2nd year of Boob Stalled's reign of terror.
