YTD attendance average: 54,145
Memorial Stadium capacity: 71,168
YTD Utilization rate: 76%
As a gauge on how we're doing, we're beating KY's attendance average by about 695 per home game.
Average attendance needed over the next 5 games ...
to match 2015's attendance: 69,510
to hit 60,000 average: 62,342
Considering two of our five remaining home games are against Delaware State and Middle Tennessee (HC), I think it's safe to say that we're going to struggle to get to a 60,000 average home attendance. Whose left as a big name coming to CoMO? Arkansas?
Average home attendance in recent years:
2015: 65120 (10th in SEC)
2014: 65285 (10th in SEC)
2013: 63505 (9th in SEC)
2012: 67476 (9th in SEC)
2011: 62095
2010: 61540
2009: 64119
So why do you think people aren't people going to the games? On field performance? Cost? Access (parking/traffic)? Amenities (for instance lack of free wifi in the stadium)? Opponents that we host? Resentment over past issues? Have their been too many "flash" sales to fill seats that people are now waiting on last minute deals before making plans to attend the games?
