it's not a "why should i have to pay for you?" thing. that's simplistic. you live in the society of kids that don't get to go to college, for whatever reason. you're surrounded by them. these are the same kids many complain about that don't have jobs, are thugs or whatever, etc.

i don't *want* to pay for their college (even though it'd be so little, i'd barely notice, if at all), but it's for the better of society, everyday people you interact with all the time.
