the NIL deal should follow them. I don't think it's fair to Joe Machens for a player that left your local community and went to Boston to be forced to continue to pay for an endorsement in Columbia MO. Would the NCAA be the people that enforce that? What if said player transferred to kansas, would Joe Machens be forced to pay an endorsement to someone that left for your local schools bitter rival?
Even if endorsement deals/NIL can't be contingent on a kid attending a particular school the 3rd party entity paying the money can negotiate the contract and put other stipulations in that contract that would basically limit them to that school. These are contracts between non-school entities and the athlete.
All in all, I am not sure what problem you are trying to solve. I honestly don't have much of a problem with the current system.
