people paying the NIL money can stipulate that they must still be in a location/school. At the very least they can make it for a certain length of time; say a semester or whatever.
Quinn Ewars wasn't still being paid by Ohio State after he transferred.
And of course nobody is putting in penalties or buyouts in their contracts because that would be incredibly stupid. What player would agree to that??
The people paying the NIL, whether it be collectives or Old Vienna Potato Chips are certainly making the player sign a contract.
"Yes, Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals can be structured to stipulate that payment is only made while a player is at a specific school. NIL deals are essentially contracts, and the terms of those contracts can be negotiated and agreed upon by both parties.
