Maybe I'm misconstruing your points, but it sounds like you're mad that the former employees acquiesced, but also made they didn't bend the knee sooner to prevent a potential escalation... which is a contradiction.

Anyway, the university is way more than just a few former employees who made some mistakes.

But some people cannot separate the former employees from the *university* and the result is a grudge that's lasted 7 years of their life. They could have moved on and continued rooting for *MU* regardless of what some former employees could have done differently.

BTW, I'm not writing any group... I'd love for the grudge-holders to come back, but they're too weak to let it go.
